Aunt Mae's Diary

January 1, 1914


Came on the 31st from Oswego to Watertown with Carl, where we visited Carl's Aunt, Mrs. Woolever. Ethel his cousin met us at station. In the evening Ethel, her friend Francis Lennon, Carl and I went to theatre. Saw "The Girl in Waiting". Very Good. After visiting the greeks went to the house and watched the old year out and the new year in. In morning, Ethel, Francis, Carl and I went downtown and saw Max Nieple. Had fine New Year's dinner and left Watertown at 1:45. Ethel and Francis came to station with us. While waiting for train met Carl's friend Wil Gallagher. Carl came as far as Richland with me. At Utica took car for Herkimer and stopped off. Barbara met me at Main street Dolgeville. Came home with me and we had great talk. Went up to Opera House to dance. Didn't stay long. [   ] crowd. Stopped in greeks. Had ice cream and [   ].
