September 7, 1914
Labor Day! Myrtle had to leave for [ ] at 6:46 and Ella and I got up at five o'clock and rode to the [ ] Station about four miles with her to see her off. When we got back we went to bed and slept till eleven o'clock. It was a terribly windy day. We played croquet most all afternoon. About 5:00 we walked down to the store and bought candy. After supper I went with Ella to be vaccinated and afterwards we took a little walk up the [ ]. When we got back I played some old fashioned songs and Mrs. Waugh, Ella and I all sang. Enjoyed it.
